The skin feels tighter and possible darkening of the skin can happen on the 2nd or 3rd day post treatment. Dryness and itching of the skin are very common, and the Doctor can recommend a specific cream to help in the healing process. Peeling or flaking of the skin can start on day 3 or 5, and might continue for 7-10days (this depends on the strength of the peel). If any impurities are present under the skin these can appear on the surface and a break out of small white heads may become visible. This will clear in the following days, and it usually does not take more than 1 week.
