Hyperhydrosis
(Excessive Sweating)

Botulinum Toxin is not only used to treat lines on the upper part of the face, but it is also injected into the skin to treat the symptoms of severe sweating underarms, soles of feet or palms of the hand.

This treatment has the ability to block the secretion of the chemical responsible to induce sweating. In this way sweating is temporarily stopped from the area where it has been injected. The medicine is injected just below the surface of the skin. It is administered with tiny needles and require relatively little time. One can easily return back to work post treatment. The client is asked to refrain from intensive exercise or the use of sauna for three days post treatment.

The effect will last between 4-6 months. Botulinum toxin injections do not cure hyperhidrosis; symptoms will gradually return. Follow-up injections are required to maintain dryness

All options can be further discussed with the doctor during the consultation.
